Nurturing Beauty, A Gentle Act of Care

Marble and travertine are porous (lime)stones - their captivating beauty is a mere reflection of nature itself, intertwined with the hands of skilled artisans. Beyond aesthetic appeal, marble is known to stand the test of time due to its durability and resistance – our pieces are an investment meant to last for decades. Following our simple care guide will ensure the longevity of your piece.

Care

While light scratches and marks are a natural part of use, adding character over time, we recommend the following practices to preserve your piece :

Wipe spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, as marble naturally absorbs moisture.

Use coasters and placemats to prevent heat marks or surface rings.

Apply protective pads beneath displayed objects (e.g. vases or bowls) to avoid surface scratches.

Avoid direct contact with oils (e.g. candle wax, olive oil), acidic substances (e.g. vinegar, wine, lemon juice) and harsh chemicals, as these can damage the stone.

While some marks may occur, they often fade with time, developing into a soft patina that adds to the story and uniqueness of each piece.

Please note marble is delicate and can chip or break if handled incorrectly. Due to its weight and fragility, always lift and place the piece with care.

Stain Treatment

Oil-based stains (grease, makeup, lotions): Apply a paste of baking soda and water. Let sit for 12–24 hours, then wipe clean.

Organic stains (coffee, wine, food, juice): Mix hydrogen peroxide with a few drops of ammonia and apply gently using a cotton ball.

Spots and rings : Gently rub with a soft, dry microfiber cloth or use a marble polishing powder.

Cleaning

Avoid alcohol or chemical based or acidic cleaning products.

Wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth (avoid abrasive sponges or scrubbing pads).

It is important to use a stone/marble cleanser to clean your piece. Alternatively, opt for a non-acidic, non-abrasive cleanser with a neutral PH (i.e. natural mild soap with lukewarm water).
