LAYA Console
LAYA Console
Form meets function with our Laya console, taking its design cues from brutalist architecture, where the massif form allows the raw beauty of stone to take center stage. The stone’s natural veining as well as the depth of colour are reflected through the pure lines of the design.
Laya (meaning harmony in Sanskrit) pays homage to the work of late architect Le Corbusier, more specifically his “Open Hand” monument in Chandigarh, India. The statue is a recurring theme in his work, symbolizing peace & reconciliation as the hand is open to give and receive. Whether placed in an entryway, living or dining room, Laya creates a peaceful focal point while serving as a functional display.
